Sending it, or scheduling it
Post now, pick a time, or save it as a draft for somebody else to send.
At the bottom of the post there are three things you can do with it.
- Save — keeps it as a draft. Nothing is sent. Anyone can do this.
- Schedule — set a time in Send at first, then press it. The post waits and goes out on its own.
- Post now — sends it immediately. Inkling asks you to confirm, because this cannot be undone.
Send at is in your own local time, not the site's. Once something is scheduled you can still change your mind: Call it back returns it to a draft.
Who can send
Writing a post and sending one are separate permissions. An author can write and save; an editor can schedule and send. If you only see Save, that is why — write it, save it, and an editor can send it.
