Choosing where it goes
Tick the accounts you want. Inkling tells you straight away if one of them would refuse.
Under Where it goes is a tick box for every account you have connected. Tick as many as you like — one post can go to all of them.
The boxes show the account as well as the network, so if you look after two X accounts you can tell them apart.
Not everything can go everywhere
Networks disagree about what a post even is, and Inkling tells you while you are writing rather than when you press send. If something will not work you will see it in amber under the tick boxes.
- TikTok and YouTube need a video. There is no such thing as a text post there.
- Instagram and Pinterest need a picture or a video.
- X takes up to four pictures, or one video.
- Pinterest is the odd one: a video pin also needs a still picture as its cover, because Pinterest will not make one for you.
- Everywhere else, a picture or a video — never both in the same post.
